Originally trained as a theater and costume designer, David became a member of the Ballet Rambert and went on to choreograph his own troupe in Paris, where it won several awards.

He later set up a shop in“Antiquarius” on Kings Road in London, where he began a roaring trade selling antique clothes and wedding gowns. Bianca Jagger and Elizabeth Taylor became customers.
Soon after, David started designing and producing his own collection of wedding gowns and evening dresses. David designed wedding gowns for TV presenters Anthea Turner and Katie Hill as well as actress/singer Sarah Brightman. His clientele includes Elizabeth Hurley, Cindy Lauper, Jane Horrocks, Minnie Driver and Denise Van Outen.
